This is a brand new vintage split bamboo fly rod. It still has some of the plastic on the grip. From some research I did on it when I first purchased it. People were saying if you got a good one, they were really good. If not, just okay. So I did put a 5 wt. reel on it to see how it would cast. It actually cast really nice with a 5 wt. reel. I took the reel off and been stored ever since.
